About duck5009
I'm a simple guy. My name's David and I was born in Minnesota and grew up there, then I moved down to Florida in 2003 and have lived there since. I want to have a career in media in any capacity really, though I would really enjoy working on a couple independent projects me and my friends have thought up over the last couple years. Until I can get some more school out of the way or more free time those great ideas might just have to wait a little bit.

I've been gaming since I was 3 years old when my Dad brought home an NES one day with Mario and Duckhunt and haven't stopped since. Without a doubt the best game of all time for me is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. At the moment I play a decent amount of World of Warcraft, and CoD4 when I can as a quick pick me up.
I always enjoy meeting new people, and fellow gamers of course, so stop by and say hello here, on XBL or whatever, I'm pretty easy going :P.

Quotes:
Raoul Duke, "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
Niccolo Machiavelli, "Ambition is so powerful a passion in the human breast, that however high we reach we are never satisfied."
Douglas Adams, "He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife."
Chapman Cohen, "Gods are fragile things; they may be killed by a whiff of science or a dose of common sense."
Stephen King, "The beauty of religious mania is that it has the power to explain everything. Once God (or Satan) is accepted as the first cause of everything which happens in the mortal world, nothing is left to chance...logic can be happily tossed out the window."
Milton Friedman, "What kind of society isn't structured on greed? The problem of social organization is how to set up an arrangement under which greed will do the least harm; capitalism is that kind of a system."
Milton Friedman, "The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem."
Epicurus, "Death, the most dreaded of all evils, is therefore of no concern to us; for while we exist death is not present, and when death is present we no longer exist."
B. F. Skinner, "The real question is not whether machines think but whether men do."
Steve Wozniak, "Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window."
Stanley Kubrick, "If you can talk brilliantly about a problem, it can create the consoling illusion that it has been mastered.”
Eric Wareheim, "Adultery is easier to swallow when you're dancing around, smelling socks."
Michael Palin on the Meaning of Life, "Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."
Arthur C. Clark, "In the long run, there are no secrets, in science. The universe will not cooperate in a cover-up."
Ted Turner predicting the next 40 years, "Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals."
Andrew Ryan(Bioshock), "Hello, my name is Andrew Ryan and I’m here to ask you a question: is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible.
I chose... Rapture."

I've been playing World of Warcraft since December 2005 as a human Paladin. I first rolled on Stormscale US, but transferred to Scilla US in August 2006. I was very fortunate Pre-Burning Crusade and had a chance to raid all content up to Naxx, where I did about 1/3 of the instance. After BC dropped I leveled up in a few months and raided Karazhan and started in 25 mans till I took a break from the game from about August 2007 to April 2008, where I am now just about, getting back into raiding, progressing into SSC, TK, and Hyjal. You can find me on Scilla US playing on my Human Paladin Duckmaster. As of June 2008, I've also rolled a Mage alt on Greymana US, which is level 62 at the moment.

When I'm not working over at Disney's Hollywood Studios(the former MGM Sudios), I work for a videogame news and review site, Fragtools.com. I'm currently a reviewer for the Xbox 360 portion, Head of the Apple section iFrag, and Head of Video Production and Editing. At the moment the site is in the final stages of development and should launch within the next couple months.
