A title update has just gone live for Worms 2 Armageddon on Xbox Live Arcade. Fans can automatically download the patch for free by loading the game while connected to Live.

The update fixes a number of bugs from the original release -- including a particularly nasty one that would erase all save data -- as well as adding a ton of community-requested features and balance tweaks. The devs also revealed plans to release additional DLC for Worms 2 Armageddon in early 2010. Specifics weren't announced, but you can expect new levels, challenges, modes, and configuration options for custom teams sometime next year.
