Posted by Michael McWhertor on Wednesday December 3, 2008 8:40 p.m.

Online retailer Amazon is opening up the Gold Box of savings again tomorrow, another take on its Wii-only deal-a-thon. The frenzy of cheapness starts tonight at midnight Pacific Standard Time, if you're still shopping.

Typically, these things are good, not great, but you never really know what kind of lightning deal you're going to get. Given the dire retail situation, we'd expect better than normal savings. At ...

Sonic Unleashed Review At Kombo

Posted by MattG on Wednesday December 3, 2008 4:30 p.m.

Sonic UnleashedThe wait is finally over as Sega has released Sonic Unleashed into the world.  I had some high expectations (well, high for a modern Sonic game) going into this one thanks to the previews that placed a heavy emphasis on speedy daylight levels of pure joy that invoked memories of the original Sonic games from the Sega Genesis era.  Instead of those levels, however, we're treated to too many ...

Scenes From A Nintendo DS Massage Spa [Nintendo]

Posted by Michael McWhertor on Wednesday December 3, 2008 2 a.m.

Nintendo has been putting the "touch" back in Touch Generations over the past week at a handful of North American malls. It's been gently caressing weary shoppers and wooing them with Nintendo DS games.

We hadn't actually seen any of these rubdown dens in person, currently erected at malls in California, Texas, New Jersey, Georgia and Massachusetts. But readers Jared and Chris saw these orgies of relaxation at ...

Draw A Path To Love In The Chase - Screens [The Chase]

Posted by Stuart Houghton on Tuesday December 2, 2008 10:20 p.m.

The Chase is a good old fashioned love story. Boy meets girl, girl separates from boy, boy and girl attempt to reach each other by running at breakneck speed across surreal platform-filled landscape populated by bad guys and collectable power ups while an unseen hand draws bridges under the feet of both boy and girl.

Aww, its like something out of a Barbara Cartland novel.

The Chase from Razorback is ...

So, So Many New Dragon Quest IX Images [Dragon Quest Ix]

Posted by Luke Plunkett on Tuesday December 2, 2008 12:30 p.m.

Believe it or not, Dragon Quest IX will indeed be coming out on the humble Nintendo DS. Famitsu have posted a ton of new screenshots for the game. Let's go take a look.

Most of them focus on character, inventory and menu screens (who builds Toriyama characters with tiny eyes?), but there are some battle sequences shown as well. Which are really making the poor little DS sing.

If ...

Can Dead Rising Wii Be Saved? [Clips]

Posted by Luke Plunkett on Tuesday December 2, 2008 8:30 a.m.

Not if this trailer is anything to go by. On the plus side, for the first time, we see more than half a dozen zombies in the one spot. Sadly, they're carefully staged areas.

The rest of the game looks as barren as ever, while the boss battles look even more arduous than on the 360. Point-blank sniper rifle fire ...
