Random Trivia

As of February 22, 2008, 18 million Xbox 360's have been sold

Random Quote

I kind of miss the days when games were judged on their game-playing merit alone. I'm a little concerned about how far we (the game industry) are into the licensed four-page-ad marketing blitz era these days, which may be a natural evolution of the industry. But I'm always worried when we put more emphasis on glitz and production values than on the game. That's a trend that looks good for a while until you realize there's no game industry any more. If we don't have gameplay, we can't really compete with other forms of entertainment because we can't do graphics as good as the movie industry and we can't make sounds as well as the recording industry. All we can do that's special to us is be interactive. So we have to hang on to that and make sure we do a good job.

Sainsbury's has been knocking £30 from the price of the Xbox 360 and Wii, bringing the 360 to ...

Fable II CE Cut Even Further [Now With Less Collectibles]

Posted by Mike Fahey on Friday October 3, 2008 8:20 p.m.

So the Fable II Collectors Edition box set has been trimmed a little, losing the five printed fate cards, the Hobbe figure, and..oh yes, the box. Still, we still get a bonus DVD with developer diaries and the full game soundtrack, right? Perhaps not. Frequent Kotaku contributor and all-around nice lady Lesley Smith passes on this email from UK retailer Game regarding even further cuts to the decreasingly collectible ...

Is a Mix of Authorized Apps or Games Bricking iPhones? [Rumor]

Posted by Brian Crecente on Monday July 21, 2008 7:01 a.m.

Earlier this month I purchased 15 or so games through the Apple App Store and loaded them onto my iPhone as I worked to play and review them for our Ultimate iPhone Gaming Guide. I also, like many other iPhone owners, loaded up a handful of other applications for the phone.

Despite loading up my system to capacity, the iPhone still worked like a champ. To be on the safe ...
