I've heard keeping WiiConnect 24 makes it hot, but I had a USB port charger connected too, and I think my disc part of the system is messing up. Won't load games correctly...anyone else having any technical issues?

i stay away from wii 24 connect because i think it messes uo the wii as u said so i dont know about it sorry

Hey tater, I too have a usb charger for my wii controllers. After reading your post the first time I checked to see that my wii was pretty hot for not being used. I just plugged it into the back of my 360. On or off it seems to keep them charged and I haven't had any heat problems there.

Turning off WC24 & unplugging the charger's done wonders for the heat when not in use, but still won't spin discs right. And bummer, it's outta warranty so 75$ for them to looksee. I don't even know if it includes shipping. I really hope this isn't a new trend for N. (HW issues)
