Konami shooter that doesn't take itself seriously. Parodius basically takes the gameplay from other popular sidescrolling shooters, like Gradius, and makes fun of it by replacing spaceships and enemies with silly creatures like Japanese umbrella monsters, American eagles, cats, blowfish, scantily-clad women, Easter Island heads, and, of course, Octopi galore. Released only in Europe and Japan.
