Debut installment in Capcom's court room battle adventure game series. Gyakuten Saiban translates to "Reversed Judgment". Players star in the role of a lawyer who tries to beat the odds in proving that his "good-as-convicted" defendant is innocent. This means lots of gathering of information, piecing together evidence and listening to testimony. The game creates a tense and twisting storyline that deals with inconsistent testimonies, corruption, and a focus on attention to detail. The game is played out from a first-person perspective, with the player listening and talking to anime-style characters. Released only in Japan. Followed by a sequel.
