The first two games in the BALDER'S GATE franchise (BALDUR'S GATE and BALDUR'S GATE II) were extremely popular with PC crowds. Both games were set in the most popular DUNGEONS & DRAGONS campaign venue, "Forgotten Realms," and provided gamers with a seamless transition that beautifully translated the pen-and-paper experience to the PC. With BALDUR'S GATE: Dark Alliance, you'll once again find yourself in the "Forgotten Realms." The Sword Coast has fallen victim to hordes of thieves and bandits, and you decide to take refuge in the city of Baldur's Gate. But before you reach the safety of Baldur's Gate, your sister is abducted by a group of thieves sent specifically to attack your party. Now you must embark on a quest to save your sibling, but along the way you'll discover a much bigger and more dangerous plot is unfolding. You can choose from three pre-existing characters as you set out on an engrossing adventure that will take you through many interactions, confrontations, and battles that will challenge all of your skills.
