Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, a Turn-Based video game for Super NES
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Late Super Famicom installment in Nintendo's popular strategy roleplaying series. Released initially as a download via the company's Nintendo Power service on September 1, 1999, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 was also published as a limited cartridge run on January 21, 2000. Players guide the thief Leif and his companions through battle-laden scenarios, set just before chapter 7 in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. Populated with familiar characters from the previous title, Lief's motivation in this side story is to seek revenge for his parents on the Thracian army. The unit-based strategy gameplay remains at the heart of the game (including a fog of war feature that obscures units not in the allies' direct line of sight), but the game also adds the ability to capture enemy units as well as the new rescue feature that lets units help each other out.
