There are certain similarities in terms of subject matter, marketing, getting people excited about experiences, and things like that, but I think the idea of the focus on the player is something we have that is very different from other forms of entertainment.

A really good game. The content is good (if you have SoTu and HoU expansions) and the gameplay is awesome, especially in multiplayer.

Sadly though, the PvP system is so broken and wasted whereas the single player mode is seemingly more balanced. If you look hard enough, TO THIS DAY, you can find a few servers with people that went out of their way to reprogram the feats and spells, and the combat system so that it is more PvP friendly, not so embarrassingly unbalanced, and easier to deal with. The non-PvP gameplay in said servers is also a lot better.

I still have this game for the sole reason that you can enjoy some roleplaying, and some decent (even if old) PvP action.
