One of the strangest, most entertaining PC games ever, comes to the PlayStation. WORMS is a strategy game that pits up to four people against each other to see who will be the last one standing. Each player must collect weapons that vary from small guns to gigantic rocket launchers. The combat is turn-based, with each turn calling for the player to decide how and where to fire their weapon, and the trajectory at which it is to be fired. Players must also take the terrain into consideration, which features huge drops and trenches. While the action is not very fast-paced, it is highly entertaining, as each shot counts and misfires can lead to annihilation. There are a variety of levels to choose from that will challenge your strategic skills as well as your fortitude. WORMS is a great party game, yet the Single-Player mode is deep enough to make it a viable option in itself.
