What it do!? My name is Stephanie and sure, why the hell not, I'm a "Female Gamer". I've been involved with MLG since late 2006. I've gone to 5 events so far, MLG Toronto will make it 6. Since my first event, MLG Charlotte '07, I've seen Female gamers come into the circuit, and leave. Many were very talented ladies but just couldn't afford to make it to events or found other things (like relationships with fellow gamers) more important, and dropped out. While competing or spectating at these events I started realizing a few things. These chicks aren't making it anywhere! What the hell is going on? They put in so many hours on these video games, just as much as the guys, but they just can't get past third round winners bracket. Sure, guys are proven to be more logical than girls. But these girls are straight up losing focus. They're getting distracted by other things. If more girls were to strive to win, don't you think we'd have more pro FEMALE gamers on the circuit? What ever happened to dedication and determination? Look at Ms. Baretta for instance. She knows what's up. She teams with GUYS. Why? Because they have the mindset to actually win. They play smart and they actually know what they're doing. Maybe the key is to team with guys. Obviously, girls aren't making it anywhere by themselves. Come on girls. Let's break away from the stereotype and get serious. Let's stop relying on guys to help us win and DO IT OURSELVES! Let's start playing to win!
